My Best Comic Buying Experience was reading the big twist in New Avengers for Secret Invasion when Elektra turned into a Skrull. I was like WHADAFUQ!? Loved that buying & sharing comic experience in a local comic shop (sadly, the LCS is no longer around).

I’m NOT as excited as Batman: Dark Night & upcoming Dark Knights METAL event series. I’m on full event burn out. 🙁

The Defenders teaser - Netflix - Marvel for August 2017

Check out the fun The Defenders teaser Netflix Marvel series that will team-up Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock / Daredevil, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, and Finn Jones as Danny Rand / the Iron First. It’s SHORT but it’s teasing lots of various viral websites AND the release date in August 2017. Love that Jessica Jones jumps up and well… give it a watch and enjoy! I can’t wait to see what they all get up into and how both the Kingpin, Madame Gao, The Hand & the upcoming mysterious villain Alexandra played Sigourney Weaver. Lots of supporting characters from Élodie Yung as Elektra Natchios, Scott Glenn as Stick, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, Simone Missick as Misty Knight and Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing. Lastly, Stan Lee makes a cameo appearance – of course!

I believe that Marvel will realize how stupid they sound about the Diversity comment. I agree that it’s not about Diversity in Marvel Comics recently but perhaps the slumping sales comics is that the comic book stories and/or artwork aren’t that great to hook in readers and win over retailers. Personally, I love all the legacy characters from Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel) to Riri Williams (Iron Heart) to Amadeus Choi (New Hulk) and Captain America Falcon is great. Personally, I feel that Captain America Falcon (Sam Wilson) hasn’t changed but stepped up to the Captain America mantle with full respect – too bad the fandom doesn’t feel the same. I do agree that perhaps Marvel could invest more in their current Diversity characters as well then what feels like rushing to make a new Diverse legacy character(s).

Well here it is – the big new Game of Thrones Season 7: Long Walk Official Trailer. There are only a handful of seasons left and what are we shown? The long walk of the three powers-to-be and the reveal of the big threat to them all. Has Jon Snow (Kit Harington) been brought back only to die again quickly in this deadly Game of Thrones? Will the White Walkers breach the Wall? Will we be watching Season 7 before the next book, The Winds of Winter comes out from George R.R. Martin? Will Cersei (Lena Headey) & Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) lose their shit when she see Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) standing next to Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) forces attack King’s Landing? What of Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) and the family battle with Theon’s uncle Euron Greyjoy for the Ironborn & the Iron Islands. Will Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) do ANYTHING this season and what of the Sandor “The Hound” Clegane (Rory McCann)? Will he have his revenge on Arya Stark (Maisie Williams)? And where will Bronn (Jerome Flynn) end up? Lastly, will Jon Snow get his revenge on the death of his mother Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley)? I’ll admit that BUNGIE makes good Destiny trailers and Destiny 2 “Rally the Troops” Worldwide Reveal Trailer #Destiny2 delivers. Lance Reddick as Commander Zavala & Nathan Fillion as Cayde-6 share the spotlight in this new trailer. I LOVED the original Destiny trailers with Led Zeppelin playing as they rush down to kill all the aliens. That freaking ROCKED! Sadly, I found the game lacking past it’s initial play thru, all missions became boring, repetitive (beyond the typical repeating that happens in games) and the worlds were lifeless except for things to kill. If you’re into that kinda thing than you’ll likely LOVE Destiny 2, personally I want MORE! More fleshed out, flourishing alien worlds & more to do besides just kill the bad aliens or each other.

Again. I’m LOVING this trailer although I WON’T be buying Destiny 2. Least not right away, if I do.

Bill Skarsgård (“Allegiant,” TV’s “Hemlock Grove”) looks terrifying as the clown Pennywise and this is JUST the teaser, I can’t wait to see the official full length trailer once it’s released. Based on the novel Stephen King’s horror “IT” comes this new re-imagining of the movie we once got terrified of when we were all kids and before this new generation was even born. Sometimes I don’t like re-makes but this movie seems to be bringing a fresh take on the horror of IT. Enjoy.

New Line Cinema’s horror thriller “IT,” directed by Andrés Muschietti (“Mama”), is based on the hugely popular Stephen King novel of the same name, which has been terrifying readers for decades.

When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids are faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.

“IT” stars Bill Skarsgård (“Allegiant,” TV’s “Hemlock Grove”) as the story’s central villain, Pennywise. An ensemble of young actors also star in the film, including Jaeden Lieberher (“Midnight Special”), Jeremy Ray Taylor (“Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip”), Sophia Lillis (“37”), Finn Wolfhard (TV’s “Stranger Things”), Wyatt Oleff (“Guardians of the Galaxy”), Chosen Jacobs (upcoming “Cops and Robbers”), Jack Dylan Grazer (“Tales of Halloween”) and Nicholas Hamilton (“Captain Fantastic”).

Muschietti is directing “IT” from a screenplay adapted by Chase Palmer & Cary Fukunaga and Gary Dauberman. Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Seth Grahame-Smith, David Katzenberg and Barbara Muschietti are producing, with Marty P. Ewing, Doug Davison and Jon Silk serving as executive producers.

IT creeps into theaters September 8.
