Well I’ve met to post this for a while now but it’s pretty bloody obvious that this blog is on a hiatus now.
This blog has a history that was tied to a certain comic book store in Vancouver, Canada (You know, where the 2010 Winter Olympics were) called ELFSAR COLLECTION COMICS & TOYS. Sadly Elfsar had to close down in May so in many ways, it’s closing has also put the final nail into the coffin of this blog. If I had ANY thought of returning and sparking this sucker up, it’s all gone now. Elfsar was the spark that had me start REALLY bad reviews over on Happy Harbor Comics website. That went on for a while until I thought, why not just start my own blog doing the same thing and ranting about whatever else I wanted. So I did and BtS was born. It went through many looks & feel until finding the latest incarnation. Now don’t get me wrong, I do miss it at times but overall I think running this blog took a great deal out of me in ways I haven’t still realized. I managed this blog almost as much or more than working 8 hours a day and that got to be too much in general. That and I feel my appreciation for comic books lately has been at an all time low so I have little to talk about.
I know many friends I know wished I kept the blog up and running but never truly understood it was like feeding a forever hungry zombie… and I FUCKING HATE Zombies!

I’m not closing up shop as I like the digital footprint this leaves so feel free to browse and lick the carpet, you might find something you like. That said, I’m closing the comments now for the entire site and all older posts.

Marvel Solits for Dec ‘08 are here and as I await news of a huge rumored Vancouver Canucks trade, I thought I would put up these solits. Oh yeah, I am working as well but I mean Spider Monkeys could do my work with feces covered fingers all the while playing Facebook D’n D like me.
I know William S. will be avoiding these posts like the plague but some hi-lights are the upcoming Spider-Man & X-Men Noir which had those B&W posters a while ago you may have seen (I never pimped them out on BtS). I think William S. would be interested in Spiderman Noir with the 1933 setting of this “out-of-cannon” book. Also all the upcoming Dark Reign books are “classified” much like Marvel did for Civil War to add intrigue and not “spoil” too much. I guess this is a way to get fans hyped for more Bendis crap. *shrugs*
I do like the upcoming Spider-Man run by Dan Slott toyfuly entitled “Harry Osborn and the Chamber of Secrets”. I like seeing Red Hulk getting some loving from the Women of Marvel, always a good thing with Spider-Woman flying on in — get some of that Skrull Queen action Rulk! I do like the homage to Evil Dead in the upcoming Marvel Zombies #3 cover but that’s about it, I am a Zombie Hater. I wonder which Porn Star in in the upcoming Marvel Spotlight: Secret Invasion Aftermath cover? The Golden Age Sentry kicks it British music style. Oh and December is What If? Month with the likes of Doctor Doom getting the Infinity Gauntlet and Captain America winning Civil War *yawn*. Oh and lastly the Marvel Cosmic stories continue with fun of the third Summers brother Vulcan, Emperor of the Shi’Ar Empire, starting building his empire with the rest of Universe in X-Men: Kingbreaker.
With the Dr. Doom cover exposed, I am now guessing that “Dark Reign” and “Embrace Change” means the heros lose and the Skrulls win. Oh to add some “depth” to this post so its NOT just a solits post, I decided to make a new feature here — The FIRST Special Messed Up Between the Staples Warvel Solits, check it out after the click below…
