So I am going offline for the next while to heal the only good foot I got after pulling my Achilles heel on that same foot. Here is some cool comic book news: Chuck Dixon is going to be writing one of the new revamps of GI JOE by IDW. Along with Larry Hama coming back to the Joe with another title and having Christos Gage & Mike Costa (fresh off his great run on ‘Secret History of The Authority: Hawksmoor’) writing a Cobra mini-series, it sounds like IDW has a very good vision for the new revamp! I was very much into the beginning of the last revamp with Joe Casey writing GI JOE but sadly it took forever to hit the mark for me and I ended up dropping the title due to the lack of any good and solid conclusion. After that it seemed that they title(s) were going all over with the stories and seemed as thought there was no direction.
Good interview and pimp out for this upcoming book on CBR:

My bets are that Hama, Dixon, Gage and Costa are going to be giving fans a better G.I. Joe than the upcoming movie! Oh and Best Bang may or may not come out this week. I know you will all survive if it doesn’t..

Second week in a row to finish the Best Bang Reborn #7 on a Weds, same day as new comics. Ah well, here are the books that came out last week on August 20th. Some hi-lights include The Incredible Hercules, Air, Final Crisis: The Geoff Johns book… I mean Legion of 3 Worlds, Runaways: Dead End Kids hardcover and my pick of the week which was Guardians of the Galaxy #4! I picked all these lovely books up from Hourglass Comics out in Port Moody, BC. Enjoy.

Welcome to another Best Bang. This time not written by a Skrull hacker but by yours truly. I am pretty bummed out that the Vancouver Canucks could not get into the playoffs for this year. So yeah, here are my Best Bang for the week of April 2nd. Given that Xander “Call Me Nick Fury” becomes Dracula’s manservant again (in the latest issue of Buffy) is why I am using his head as ranking. As always from top to bottom.
This weeks books are from Port Moody’s own Hourglass Comics.

Lets kick start this week with Between the Staples Best Bang for March 19th Comics! Not a huge week and some surprises with the likes of The Incredible Hercules, Captain Marvel and Batman and The Outsiders. As Captain Marvel is one of the first few “Secret Invasion” tie in books, I am using his head this week for ranking. Best to worse, top to bottom, this week I got my addiction from Elfsar Comics & Toys plus a healthy second does from Hourglass Comics. The secret word of the review is: Skrull(s).
