I understand why Nickelodeon wants to have some more properties to go to battle with any upcoming Marvel stuff coming down the Disney pipe. I hope the creators of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles got some good $$ from this but I do wonder how the TMNT will be exploited in the upcoming cartoon wars. *sigh* More on CBR regarding this news:

I expect that we’re doomed to another half dozen poorly conceived and overly childish direct to TV movies.
How did such an entertaining kids show fall so far? Does my mild modern nostalgia cloud my opinion of it? Was it actually bad back then too, and I just didn’t know it?
