All good things…

Well I never thought that I would be writing this so soon but but here it is.. this month will be the last of Between the Staples for an undisclosed future. Yes I will be closing down shop on the blog. I am sure it seems that I am following on the heels of the team leaving blog@newsarama.com but this has been a long time coming. Just this past summer I was thinking the same once I got back from Comic-Con and finishing up my work on Zeros 2 Heros books.
I realize that I have lost the love for writing on my blog. I feel very burnt out plus I am coming off more negative with each week. I am sure I can be told how to do my blog but I have lost the love and I do hope people understand that. I do not want to stress one moment, thought or braincell about my blog anymore. I want to concentrate on my own writing and not for the blog.
I want to thank everyone out there who has contributed, commented and pimped out BtS down the road – William S for all his moral support and early reviews, DR, Zeek, Dustin (For the Love of Comics) , Chris Hunter, and Mike Haynes (Panels of Awesome)! Special thanks to Hartley as well for all his love of the addiction. Great shout outs to Ethan @ Elfsar Comics & Toys who helped pimp out Between the Staples at his store and on his website plus POW Comics!
I do want to say “Never say never” and to those who wish to give me advice on how I should stick around and do things — I challenge them to make their own blog (or ask me how to setup one up, we can arrange something) and carry forth the comic blogging tradition! Show me how I could have done things better (like the likes of For the Love of Comics & Panels of Awesome)!
Over the next few weeks I will be posting about the same plus some new specials like the Between the Staples Xmas Don’t Buy this Comic Guide & 12 Comic Blogs of Xmas.
Thanks again to everyone who has come out, shown their support and hang around, your support meant a great deal to me!

It’ll be a sad thing to see you go. Stay in touch somehow though at least! Sometimes the act of collecting and writing about comics starts to take precedence over actually reading and enjoying them, and if that is what has happened to you, I can totally understand your decision to leave.
*Drums fingers*
Nah, I said everything I’m going to say about this in the car on Saturday.
Wuss.
Well maybe one word.
Not that everyone here was in the car with us.
I know that you don’t want to hear me say it but I am burnt out. Again if you think I should be doing something then why not show me how to do it on your own blog.
Awww yeah… waiting out the competition, bitches!
It’s a shame to see you go Robert.
Don’t be a stranger, come visit us all from time to time!
Robert,
I totally understand what you’re saying. Take a break. You’ll be better for it and if you decide to come back to writing, you’ll be more energized in your efforts.
But please let us know that you’re still alive every few weeks!
I’m hoping to pick up the pace a lot more on my blog in January and I’ll keep you updated.
Thanks a lot and take care!
Chris Hunter
I like how frank you are Robert.
Fuck how you come off, if you want to write your opinion out in the awesome format that Between the Staples is then do it.
If you need a break, hey i get that.
*sniff*
I will miss my weekly read.
How selfish am I? You deserve a break. If you want to use your time on more creative efforts that benefit you, rather than expending your energy on pimping out other peoples creative efforts, I get that. I totally get that. You should do it. You will do it. Even if I have to Jedi fucking mind trick you into doing it.
Create! Be happy.
Then come back to tell us all about it.
Take a break Robert, yah earned it. I hope you get the passion back, man, that one day a comic will sing to you and Between the Staples will be reborn.
