Between The Staples - Between The Staples by Robert J. Parizek and is just another comic book news blog with a hint of lemon from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Watchmen maybe never comes to a theatre near you?

Watchmen maybe never come to a theatre near you?

CrackerBob’s For The Love of Comics blog talked recently about the whole Fox vs Warner Bros. issues over the Watchmen. Seems Fox thinks that they have rights that WB never bought way back when man wrote on cave walls and now feel that they can stop the movie from ever being released or so they say. I am betting once the WB bucks up and lets FOX in on the action, the Watchmen will be in full glory and pimped out even more than WB is doing right now.

NOW the big news is that Watchmen movie fans (and yes, I am making a distinction) are talking about making a petition and going to Boycott FOX until this is settled. Wow. I guess some people have a great deal of time on their hands to put this much effort into this. I, for one, will NOT be boycotting FOX and any other companies unless it benefits ME in some way (and sorry a movie just doesn’t do it for me!). I am going to enjoy watching Fringe and knowing that hundreds of Watchmen movie fans are not! :P

This sort of thing has happened before. It was settled pretty quickly – I believe $10 million was paid to allow Dukes of Hazzard to be released. Watchmen will still come out in March, I guarantee.

“unless it benefits ME in some way”
that’s because you are a selfish piece of shit with no sense of fairness.

lol, my comment is awaiting moderation? I didn’t realize this website had such a bastardly thing as censorship mods.

    Okay so two things:

1 – Movies are made for an audience, not for themselves therefor the movie either benefits me in some way of entertainment or not. It is really that simple. I applaud all the work that goes into movie making which is why I watch them, even the bad ones but I am also allowed to have my own three bits on them.

2 – Yes, I am not going to open up my site to spam which is what 99% of comments appear as until I approve them. So if you don’t like the moderation or my selfish piece of shit attitude them please, feel free to move along. No censorship, just might take a while since this blog is something I do as a hobby and it is not attached to my hip like some might think (especially lately where I have a life outside this blog). So feel censored if you wish dear lurker, I won’t be offended no matter how many swear words you throw bucko.
