My l♥ve for Doctor Who!

Okay I will admit it, I really do l♥ve the BBC TV show, Doctor Who, and this weekend (thanks to the power of the ‘net) I got a chance to watch all of season 4 & the big finale (the last 3 episodes in one big sitting: Turn Left, Stolen Earth and Journey’s End). It was a great way to start feeling better & getting energy. The show may not appeal to all but it appeals to me on a big level. I loved the old shows and now the new Dr. Who is one of my favorite shows on the telly (even if its via DVDs/Internet). Thank goodness my PS3 can play DivX movies!

William S. can attest to the fact that I stopped watching the show after Christopher Eccleston (who played the Ninth Doctor) and I could not get into watching David Tennant but after sitting down and watching seasons/series 2 - 4, I found out that I was stupid not watching until now. Granted much of my appeal for the 10th Doc ‘ta came from long discussions with William S. over coffees late in the next morning.
So what did I think of the 4th season/series finale — Stolen Earth & Journey’s End? Brilliant. Just brilliant! I became a sap and was tearful when it called for it (moment the Doctor and Rose finally meet-up), cheering on Jack, the Torchwood team, Sarah Jane Smith, Martha Jones (to me, on par with Rose Tyler as favorite companion!), the strength of Donna Noble and laughing out loud at 3 am when the Doctor / Donna pull the ace out of their sleeve! I loved how everyone that has been apart of the run of the new show was in the finale episode — one thing that doesn’t happen much on shows these days! Good job! One bit I was waiting for was the “what? What? WHAT?!” from the Doctor at the end of the finale episode but I think perhaps it had enough drama of the story that we needed to end on a dramatic bit than comedic.
Many thanks to Russell T. Davies (really EVERYONE) for the show and his swan song episodes if he truly is leaving the show! I cannot wait to go out and get these DVD sets now!Now it’s the long wait until Christmas 2008 episode (or a few hours after it airs for us ‘net folks)! Will David Tennant still be the Doctor? Who will be the new companion?

I watched most of the 1st season and dropped it for a bit, but then my comic shop owner told me about an episode from Season 3 called “Blink” and that I had to see it.
So I got it.
And fell in love again with Doctor Who all over again. That episode was awesome and brilliant in its simplicity.
Never saw the original series but this has been just plain brilliant.
And now it seems to show who the two new members of Torchwood may be. You do watch Torchwood, right? LOVE Torchwood!
Didn’t know that Davies was leaving the show. Going to be very interesting to see how the new person handles the reins. I don’t really care as long as it comes back and it’s still as good as it’s been.

Yes “BLINK” was an amazing show along with “Human Nature” & “The Family of Blood” in which the Doctor turns human to avoid some aliens - of course — and continues to live out his life in the early 1900s(?).
Steven Moffat (writer of BLINK & most of the creepy episodes of the show) will be replacing Davies as Exec Porducer per various reports and Wikipedia has more notes here:

Yes I am into Torchwood now and I am enjoying it very much.
The original episodes I remember watching on Friday nights when I was kid — just loved them, couldn’t get enough!

Loved “The Family of Blood” episodes! The Doctor warned them, didn’t he? Those were awesome.
I need to watch Season 2. What did you think of that Season?
Just finished watching the season finale and…wow! Poor Donna. Loved the Doctor/Donna though. That was brilliant! This 4th season was just fantastic in so many ways. Bring on the 5th season, baby!
