If I was still 11 years old and Wanted played then I would have considered it the greatest movie evvvar made. But it didn't and I'm not and there was nothing new to see in this movie. Every single character, scene and special effect can be found in another film and found done better there. This unfortunate phenomenon is pandemic within the action movie gene. A cure for it won't be showing up anytime soon.

So what do you do if your SFX and shoot'em up fights are old hat? You could try to at least give the audience a fresh perspective or some interesting character work... or you know maybe just not make Wanted.

but hey what do I know?

Saw Wanted opening night and it wasn't bad. It had very little if anything to do with Wanted mind, but it still got lots of laughs and awe at the well executed action sequences (this is done by the guy who made Nightwatch)
