So there I was kicking it in the Fables line at the DC booth awaiting to get a trade signed (for William S.) and this SMOKING hot young woman came over and asked the young woman behind me to be in this video they were shooting. So they shot the video and it was the sexy young woman trying to cut in line, the woman in line behind me says “NO!” and continues on with the conversation. There I am trying not to drool into the camera and am playing with my badge (in my mind, to get it out of the way of the BC LIONS t-shirt I was wearing) and then the hot young woman continues onto the front where she gets in line. It is said to be on this new hot website: MyLocationScounts.com.
I spoke to the CEO of the site, Elvina Beck (sorry I called you SMOKING hot but come’on, I am a big, tall, fat, comic book geek!), and she told us what the site was about, it is similar (in my mind) to a craigslist for the film industry. You can login (for FREE!) and list that you have a DRUM SET and you live in VENICE BEACH, CAL and then if a local location/set person needs a Drum Set for their shoot, they contact you and you guys make the deal. Sounds like a GREAT website so please go and check it out, maybe you can login and make some $$!

Oh and thanks again for the great conversations with the young woman in line with me (I am a big goof for not introducing myself) and person who gave me another of the bonus from the Fables panel (a small 1 page story by the Fables team) for William S. Thanks again and good luck!
… and if / when I see the video on the site, I will mention it here so you can see my fat face looking down at my toes in the background for a 5 sec blur. woo hoo!

So its 15 mins to the Lost panel and the lineup to try to get in after an all pening the lineup is 5 blocks long. Likely not getting in!
So I am now in line for the DCU panel.

Thank-you Grant Morrison for this moment!
Okay so after going to see the Watchmen panel (It was so-so, nothing special and Zak Snyder is obviously nervous on the panels) and you can read more about that and the new “exclusive trailer” here:
http://comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=17402
I then hooked up with Ethan (and his bro) from Elfsar Comics & Toys and then rushed over to make the DC Batman panel.
The panel was okay with some great one liners from Grant Morrison & Paul Dini. You can read more about it here:
http://www.newsarama.com/comics/080725-comic-con-Batman-panel.html
So after the panel, I waited and got the chance to get a photo with Grant Morrison. We then went for lunch and came back to the SOLD OUT line-up for the Venture Bros. panel (yeah, I was like WHAT-THE-F*******CK! as well) so we rushed over to the big “H” room (more like a small stadium) for the Entertainment Weekly Visionary series panel with Kevin Smith, Judd Apatow, Zak Snyder and Frank Miller. This was a GREAT panel with Kevin and Judd having great one liners with one another, Zak had some good lines and Frank just kept drinking and ignoring the questions. It was a comedy show and it was a ton of fun but hey — not for any kids ’cause these people swore like a… well you know what I mean! After this panel and catching my breathe from laughing so hard, we went to the Con floor for a bit until we got ushered out (Con ends at 7pm) to which we parted ways, I headed over to the end of the Kevin Smith panel which was just more swearing and laughing. I then took off early before the end to catch my ride back, of course with my luck, I caught my foot on something on the Con road and now have a major bruise on my foot. Right Day Two is over.
So I missed the DC Final Crisis panel which sounds like it was a good time here:

I also missed out on the Eisner Awards tonight but I needed dinner and to get away from the Con. Day 2 photos will go up tomorrow (I need sleep!) – William S. I missed the Venture Bros. but I did a shot of The Monarch & Trixie!

Well sadly I won’t be going into the Venture Bros panel due to the popularity of Robot Chicken cause all those fans dominated the lineup to VB! F**ck!

I may have issues with some of his work but after hearing and meeting him, I am back on the band wagon!
Photo with Grant pending…

Alright I am seated for the Watchmen panel. More later with photos although I do not expect much good stuff…

The Watchmen OwlShip & Dharma Initiative booth
Alright so I toured around and I was completely taken back by it all — SDCCI is HUGE! I cannot express how much WOW I was doing at the Con. I got there late, rushed in through reg and into the Doctor Who / Torchwood panels (which were TOO much fun!) then I walked the floor and was blown away. After getting lost then standing in a 4 block long line for the Afro Samurai sequel panel which I then crawled out from and into the Marvel Mondo / DC Nation panels (they were back-to-back in the same room) to which I wandered downstairs to find out the floor was closed.
Tomorrow should be lots of fun. Here are some quick cellphone photos from today, pls excuse the lack of BtS trim (the orange & white) as I just don’t have the time to do that tonight.
