Abigail’s War — Hoist the colors high
As many may or may not know — I am an (associate) editor with Zeros 2 Heroes for the Comic Creation Nation campaign and working on Abigail’s War comic book.
Abigail’s War is a great story by Jennica Harper which has a lost innocence feel to it. The book is not your typical hero comic book but has more of a historic Vertigo feel. The “hero” is Abigail, a young witch, on the run from her past who is trying to find a brief moment to catch her breath while being caught up in the turbulence of the changing world her. Sandrine Replat is a french artist who is working extremely hard painting the pages with her stunning artwork. Ed Brisson has come on board to be the letterer on the book.
Our deadline for the beginning of July has made things a touch chaotic but in a good way. We are all working very hard to get the book complete. I am very fortunate to be apart of this amazing comic book creation process. Ensuring that everything is coming together on time and with the look and feel that the writer Jennica Harper envisioned. Zeros 2 Heroes ensures that the creators vision is supported throughout the process which is unlike some other companies which take the script and bang out a comic book. I work closely with Jennica and the art team along each step of the way.
