I'll join you in that suicide pact, Zeek. Ugh Iron Fist was in my opinion the Travolta of comics, the best superhero come back from C lister to B/A. The trio of Brubaker, Fraction and Aja was what brought him into the echelon of B lister, even possibly A if given enough time.

I've read the new Cable series and I'm not impressed with the writing there so i'm doubtful i'm going to like it here.

I've read Ares God of War and I think the style might be suitable for Iron Fist though but thats not enuff to alleviate my doubts.

That's it. There's only one choice left now and that's a suicide pact. Who's with me?

This is dark news. IIF has indeed been one of my top favorites for a while now. If the forums are any statistical indication this books sales are going to tank quickly when Ed, Matt, and David leave. Without having IIF in a team book sales will drop farther. Team books in many ways are advertisements. You can have brilliantly written team books but the time taken to service action, plot, and interaction means the internal dialogue of a character is not always explored. You read a stand alone character book to see what's going on inside a characters head.

You read JLA to see what makes Batman cool, you read Detective to see what makes him great, but you read Batman to see what makes him tick.

With, if, he is leaving the New Avengers there will no longer be that cross pollination of readers to draw people to his own book. How many people read Moon Knight? How many would read him if he was an Avenger.

Yup Dark news indeed. Ed and Matt truely made this character come back alive but also raised him from the ranks of C grade heroism to a strong B lister. If they stayed another year he could have been a solid A lister and good focal point for a relaunch of HFH or interesting Avengers chairman.

He was also the only book from either M^3 or DC that was really playing in and around in the Hong Kong school of martial arts stories. A Genre that has been neglected of late.
