I just read issue five and I have to say that this story so far has been very gripping. Usually I am not a fan of story arcs that are set in alternate reality’s / future settings but I find this one very well done and entertaining.

Well my co-hort William S is reading the story along and giving me a good play-by-play. I think I will be trade waiting this one as William has mentioned enough of the 2 issues that sound interesting although Millar is very hit and miss with me.

Actually, I read 2 of these and the story isn’t that bad. He’s sort of out of the loop, living a normal life and almost all the heroes are dead. The villians won more or less. He left and gave up fighting, and is forced to fall back into what he once was to save his new family in a world without heroes. I’d say give it a chance, it seemed a bit more intriguing than “The End” series.

Thor would never deign to be placed in a book that rips off Batman. Only lame ass heroes like the emo spider do that shit.

Kick Ass has definite potential, I like the idea of it, but it’s just not working for me. Of course, I’ve only read the first issue so far, so it could be better.

I just feel, like it seems you do, that the book is getting hype and a free pass just because it’s Mark Millar, kind of like his Fantastic Four, which also isn’t working for me.

Yeah I guess your right about Kick-Ass, CrackerBob, but I do find it sad plus highly overrated.

Zeek – I thought Spider-Man Reign was more Frank Miller’s Ronin than Dark Knight.

Hey Crackerbob where is the Dark Knight version of Thor? Oh right, they can’t make one for the third string heroes. Hahahah…
