The M^3 at work! Seriously if Nick Fury is a Skrull then all bets are off and the Marvel U is f**ked! Dr. Doom being a Skrully doesn’t work for me – he is Doom and only way he would be replaced is if did it with his own DoomBotsâ„¢ and Invisible Woman? Well – I thought it was Sue Storm so fricken long ago. So what do you think? Fury, Doom, Jughead, Sue or none of the above?

If it’s any of those five, it’s Sue, though I think it’s possible that Doom has also been replaced.

Terrible move to remove Doom from the chessboard unless it has something to do with Red Skull and the Skrullies! :P

Lots of ppl think Sue or none of these. Any else falling for the Marvel b0y stuff? More M^3 Viral marketing or real rebelling? You decide! Hehehe…

  3. DR says:

I agree with what you say, if it’s Nick, they’re all F*#@ed.

That’s why I really hope it is.

You want impact? You want secret masters? You have to go for those characters with real influence and not just raw mutant power. I don’t follow the plots close enough to catch the hints and the inferences, but if I’m writing I am looking shake you readers up and make you go “well, if (s)he’s a Skrull then anyone could!”

Doom just doesn’t make for good storyelling, he’s out. Sue I never cared for much in the first place, and if she were it would feel like a piffle for me, even if she has Reid’s ear. Jughead… I’d laugh my @$$ off…

Nick has Gravitas, he’s good for story… you can practically put it in the bank… that or none of them are.

I agree with Derek in that the first Nick Fury we meet will be a skull who will try to lead them into a trap. It will be one of the cliff hangers, maybe 2nd issue. Beginning next issue either the person who shouldn’t have knowledge of the Skrulls will come forward and reveals him or Stark does it to get him some much needed cache to lead the heroes with. That is of course until such time as Captain Steve comes back from the dead to reveal Stark is indeed a Skrull. No wait scratch some of that. First issue Fury is a skrull outed by Stark who is outed by Zombie Steve who then gets outed by the mystery man who then gets outed by the real Nick Fury. Then they all have a ripped shirt, chair swinging fight on Jerry Springer where they work out all their daddy issues with each other. This works particularly well with your prediction about the Red Skull Bubba. The last two issues of the series, nothing but ads.

  5. Spekkio says:

Falcon is a Skrull. I happened to look at his Wikipedia entry today and apparently there’s a continuity gap.

“After being told that the Falcon had been assassinated by the supervillain the Anti-Captain, Captain America found the Falcon’s costume abandoned in a field.

The Falcon reappeared without explanation,[9] and supported Captain America against the Superhuman Registration Act.”

Doom just came back from Hell. Just saying is all. He’s definitely up there in the candidacy.
