…the Weapons of Fate…

They are trying hard to make Wanted look like a good movie. If it wasn’t for Angelina, I don’t know if I would be interested in seeing this flick. Super Bowl ad for the movie here:

  1. I’m a bit torn on this one, Robert. Each new trailer makes me like it a bit more, but it’s SO FAR from its original concept that it’s something completely new.

After seeing this new trailer and the “bullet slinging”, I thought to myself, “They’re just taking the whole gun-fu concept from Equilibrium to a higher level.”

I guess we’ll see if it pays off.

Man… I want to like this, but really… let’s all play spot the Neo, Trinity and Morpheus. The premise of killing the few to save the many is enticing, but I can almost guarantee that this interesting philosophical dilemma will quickly be forgotten in favour of wanton ass-kickery and Angelina Jolie’s so-luscious lips.

I might even see it, even if I know I’m going to hate myself for it.

Yeah the movie seems so far off from the book, I mean they are making them all out to be good guys whereas he was the son of the most deadly villain/assassin on the planet.

I am just hoping that the director makes a decent run of the movie with nice popcorn movie action shots that make me forget that I kinda enjoyed the comic oh and that this movie has the same title.

Personally I was against Angelina doing the role of FOXX ’cause I thought it fit Rosario Dawson more than Jolie.

We’re still going to go see this movie Bubba and you know it. If for nothing more then an excuse to rant about how horrible it was, the WGA strike and to soap box about ‘If I’d done this movie I would have done this.’ Then we go for coffee and laugh and laugh.

Don’t fool yourself into thinking we’re not.

Consider it that really bad cheese puff Hors d’Å“uvre before the main course consisting of Iron Man and the Detective. (Note that subtle bit of humor there, damn bit of sexy isn’t it?)
