Between The Staples

So I get a phone call from a good friend from Florida to remind me to watch HEROES Monday night on NBC. He ranted about how great the show was so I was kinda upbeat on wanting to watch the show.

Show starts and then suddenly I do not remember why I was watching this show. I started to get tired, yawned and then bang - I was gone. I slept for half the episode and I awoke to see the great one liner about X-Men but other than that this episode was holy [censored]t boring.

Seems to me that this was a decent idea but fell into two things - 1 - Prime Time TV on NBC who will not go to the bleeding edge and 2 - not a cable show like Deadwood, Rome or The Wire. This show needs that bleeding edge to go past the vanilla feel that NBC will give it.

This show did not flip my boat and next week I may not watch the show. Thoughts?

UPDATE: Oh I just went to the HEROES website (click here) and WOW… does it look like a glitzy porno site! I love that the online graphic novel is said to be by Tim Sale artwork but really its by Micheal Tunner.
